Happy Halloween Thanks!
The boys and girls had a great time at the Halloween party this afternoon. Special thanks to Mrs. Lewis for all of her hard work preparing a wonderful party! Thanks too for all of the parents who sent in items and joined us!

We didn’t have time to collect the reading log today so use it again tonight and we can collect it tomorrow.
The science review and book are due Friday.

Mrs. Lewis has made a sign up genius link for our Halloween Party if you would like to donate. The party is Oct.31 from 2:30-3:15. Parents are welcome to join us.

Science book and Study Guide will be sent home tomorrow October 26.
Please check your child’s everyday folder tomorrow for the Science book and study guide that is being sent home. The book and study guide will need to be returned on Friday, November 2 for the test that day. Thanks.
Module 2 Math Study guide sent home today. Due Tuesday, October 30 for test, Reminders….
Today your child brought home the module 2 math study guide with a bag of 6 paper clips to use. Your child will also need a centimeter ruler. Please review with your child and have your child show the work. The RDWW means read,draw, write the number sentence, and write a statement about the answer. After completing the review, you could make up similar problems in the same format for additional practice. The study guide is due completed and with a parent signature on Tuesday, October 30th. The test will also be on Tuesday.

- Boo grams are due tomorrow if interested.
- Spelling Week 8 is on spelling city for test tomorrow. I added the 3 bonus words to the list of 10.
- Read 20 minutes and complete the reading log daily.

The class has all worked hard this week on Social Studies! Everyone completed their Community Posters and showed great effort on the Community tests! Great job second graders!

Math homework Lesson 10, Spelling Week 8, Reading log, Social Studies Review
Today your child is bringing home the Lesson 10 homework helper and homework due tomorrow.
The Week 8 Spelling List should be attached in the Everyday Folder.
Please have your child read daily 20 or more minutes and complete the reading log. The reading log is due tomorrow.
Have your child review the Social Studies information and complete. The written section should be completed in complete sentences to help prepare for the written section of the test. For example, when writing how the Rural community is different, do not make a list of how it is different, but guide your child to write 3 complete sentences about how it is different. For example, One way that a rural community is different is that there is a lot of open space.
