On Saturday, December 8 Lindbergh is having a book fair at Barnes and Noble Fairlane Green.  The Lindbergh Choir will be performing there from 11:30 a.m.-noon and the Hand Chime Caroling will begin at 2 p.m. at Barnes and Noble that day.

Thanks to all of you as our class had 100% participation of families attend the parent teacher conferences these past two weeks!

This week for Leader in Me we will be working on Habit 2:  Begin with the End in Mind.  We will be talking about what matters most as that helps us make daily decisions and focus on our most important things.  At the end of the week, ask your child, “What matters most to you?”

Today your child has homework Module 3 lesson 2.  I will attach videos to help.

Spelling Week 11 is on Spelling City.

Please return the  reading log tomorrow and read 20 minutes.

Today your child is bringing home information about the online reading program called Raz-Kids.  The second grade classes would like to get a year subscription for the fiction and nonfiction books with comprehension quizzes at the end of each book.  We are asking for a $5 contribution for the use of the program.  Please send it in an envelope with your child’s name and Raz-Kids written on it by Tuesday, November 13.

Eleven students need to return the conference reminders.

Four students need to return the physical science book that was sent home with the science study guide.

All reading logs need to be completed and turned in on Wednesday.

Today your child is bringing home a paper ornament to complete and return on Wednesday.

Week 10 spelling words are attached in your child’s everyday folder.  The words are on Spelling City and the test is on Friday.

The recent math, science, and social studies tests will be sent home at conferences.

Students are reviewing and studying for the science test tomorrow.  They should know the vocabulary and they should be able to write the definition of a mixture and give an example. Also they should be able to write about a solid, liquid , and gas by giving an example of each and telling properties for the examples.  The study guide should be completed and signed.  Please return the science book too.

Week 9 is on Spelling CIty.

Holiday Basket :

If anyone still has any donations they would like to make to our holiday boutique basket…our theme is” Something for Everyone”.  Items or money can be given to the teacher or Danielle Lewis, Aron Lewis, or Uncle Trav.  Thank you to all of you who have sent in money and items.  We truly appreciate your help.  The more amazing our baskets are….the more money we are able to give back to our teachers for their classrooms.  Thank you all.  Danielle
