Today your child is bringing home the first reading log of the year.  It is attached in the Everyday Folder.  Please monitor that your child reads at least 20 minutes each day.  Be sure it is a good fit book.  If your child misses 5 or more words on a page, it is not a good fit book.  The reading log should be filled in daily.  Please sign the reading log on Tuesday nights to verify that your child has read at home for the week.  Next Wednesday, your child will turn in this week’s log and get a new reading log.

Math homework is coming home today.  It is a 2 sided sheet so be sure that both sides are completed.  It is due on Friday, but it may be turned in tomorrow if done.

Keep practicing week 2 Spelling words.  To help your child prepare for the cold words, give your child additional consonant-vowel-consonant words that have short i, o, or u.
