Tuesday

It was so great touching base with every family yesterday! Today we will continue working on some fun activities at home with your families! You will be receiving work packets for our live sessions next week in the mail. If you need an additional core vocabulary board printed, please reach out to me at rayl@dearbornschools.org and let me know! For today, continue working on calendar activities with the link below. You could also listen to our songs from yesterday!

Check out the link below to listen to a “Back to School” song and play a game as you do! Use your core vocabulary board to answer the question “how do you feel” each time the song pauses!

Finally, listen to the song below about patterns and dance along! When the song pauses, uses your core vocabulary board or point to the screen to practice using our word “more.” Have a wonderful day friends and please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything I can do to help you!

Within Schoology, students should find the links and instructions that they need. Links to Zoom meetings will be added by teachers.

To sign into a Chromebook, students use their district credentials: – User Name = Student Number- Password =.New students will have their passwords set to their birthday (MMDDYYYY) as per MiStar.

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday!

Welcome back friends, I hope everyone had a great weekend! Today I will be reaching out to each of you to discuss what our schedule will look like for the next few weeks. For this week please access my blog for daily activities to do at home.  Further information will come regarding next week’s schedule and the new platform the district will be using to communicate with families (Schoology and Zoom).

Check out the video below for a fun and interactive back to school song. When watching this with your child on the computer or an iPad, have your child’s core vocabulary board available. When the song pauses, have them point to the word “more” to complete the song!

Below you will find songs and videos that we sing daily to start our Morning Meeting! There is also a great link that takes you to the Starfall website that is interactive and reviews the day of the week, month of the year, and date.

Finally, check out Ms. Dawn’s video for our core vocabulary word, “more.” I am excited for “more” school! I hope everyone has a wonderful day and I will talk to you soon!

Welcome Back!

Welcome Back!

Hello Howe Families. I hope everyone is healthy, happy, and had some time to enjoy the summer!  As we begin this new school year, I know everyone has a lot of questions and concerns on how everything will look with changes due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  As information is provided, I will be sure to share it with you all!

The beginning of our school year, we will be completely virtual. Daily school hours will be 8:15-3:10, with half days ending at 11:10.  The first week of school, August 31st-September 3rd are all half day and will be considered a “soft start.”  There is no school September 4th and September 7th for the Labor Day weekend.

The district will be offering in person “Learning labs” which will begin the week of September 21st.  I will be reaching out to all my families next week with more information regarding the learning labs.

If you have any questions and/or concerns please feel free to e-mail (rayl@dearbornschools.org). I look forward to talking with each and every one of you very soon!

Week 5 Group Therapy

Week 5 Group Therapy

We are talking about things we like to do with our friends for our last week of summer school. We encourage everyone to do something for or with your friends (or siblings). You could go to a playground, make a card with homemade paint, or make fruit smoothies. Be sure to check out our ancillary slides with videos and songs as well as our recorded therapy session. Have a great week!
