Dear Parent/Guardian,
Howe Trainable Center and Montessori and all Dearborn Schools are involved in an ongoing continuous improvement process, of which parents and guardians are an integral part. Howe Trainable Center and Montessori is using the AdvancED Parent Survey as a means to elicit your opinions to help target areas for the school system to improve and areas to continue to be effective. Your opinion is important to us, and we ask that you take the time to complete this survey. The online survey will be available from 5/9/17 to 5/31/17. In order to complete the survey, please click on this link: https://goo.gl/WRZtbE
Please be assured that your responses to this survey will be anonymous and your honest opinions are appreciated. If you have any questions about this survey, please contact your school principal at Fournit@dearbornschools.org. Thank you in advance for supporting Howe Trainable Center and Montessori improvement efforts.
Your cooperation and support in completing the parent survey will be greatly appreciated. Sincerely,

If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools. Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years. Read the rest of this entry

Howe School Announcements
There are several important and exciting events happening at Howe School this week! Today Ms. Nellie’s class will welcome DTE Energy in her classroom for a specialized learning experience.
Friday is the final day of the Box Tops Collection for the fall. We appreciate all of your participation as this brings in money to help our school.
Friday evening will be our second annual Trunk or Treat from 6-7:30. The cost of the event is a $3 donation. Forms have been sent home and we are asking that they be returned by Wednesday so our PTA can finalize the plans and purchase candy.
Our first School Improvement visit will be this Friday at 1:30. District administrators will be visiting our school to learn about our plans for improvement and provide us with feedback. Parents are welcome to join.
Monday, October 31, we will have an all-school party based on the theme of Tailgating. Mr. Borg has been working together with the staff to plan fun and exciting events for the students. Students are encouraged to dress in their favorite team colors or spiritwear, or Halloween colors. If you would like to assist with the event, contact your child’s teacher to find out what time they will attend.
