REMINDER-All students, except for testing juniors and seniors, must report to school at 9:30 am tomorrow. The schedule is a speed schedule. Each hour will be 33 minutes in length. 4th hour will be the entire 60 minute class period in order to include lunch.

    • Animal Farm-Discuss Satire. Begin “The Battle of the Cowshed” Satirical Comic Strip.
  • Hours 4 and 6 ONLY
    • SLOT-Referencing the political cartoon, find an example of the themes, “The ways that satire communicates and comments upon the absurdity of humans” and “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Using the cartoon you will explain through annotation how the drawing is an example of each theme.
    • SSR-Read novel for 10 minutes.
    • Animal Farm– Discuss Chapters 3 and 4. Theme examples from Chapters 3 and 4 due.
      • Create a bubble map for each character: Boxer, Benjamin, Napoleon, Snowball, Pilkington, and Frederick.
      • Create a bridge map for each of the above characters matching them with their allegorical pair.
  • REMINDER-Tomorrow, Thursday, April 16th, school begins at 9:30 for all non-juniors. You will report to first hour and follow the speed schedule for the day. Each class will be 33 minutes. You will attend all classes as well as a lunch period.
