This week we are wrapping up figurative language. We will be reading a short story, Scout’s Honor, to see how an author develops characterization. This week’s homework for the reading and writing challenge is a little different. Everyone will be a good-fit fiction book and be working on characterization. The students have a graphic organizer to complete to find evidence in their good-fit book of character traits. From this they will be constructing an essay next week. It is highly important that they complete it and have it in class next Tuesday.
I have also noticed that many students Reading and Writing Notebook’s are filled and many are running low on supplies ( pencils, pens , paper, glue, etc). If you could please check with your child and get them replenished that would be great!
