This week we will be working on writing a character analysis essay. You will be drafting the essay based on one the characters from one of your good fit-books you finished. Next week you will work on making revisions and editing the paper with the final copy due on Thursday, Feb.12.
In Vocabulary you will work on Lesson 4 and create flashcards for the words. The flashcards are due on Friday, Feb. 6th and pages 38-45 will be completed prior to the test on Friday, Feb. 13th.
Homework: You will need to be reading your good-fit book for at least 100 minutes and recording on flags the strategies you really used when reading. Due to the shortened week the flags are due Wednesday, Feb. 11th. The Prove It Letter will be written in class that day.
Weekend Homework: Over the weekend you must share your scores from NWEA testing and discuss with your parents your goal for next time and your plan for making it happen. Your parents will need to sign the sheet. These are due on Monday, Feb. 9th
