End of Year and High School Summer Reading Expectations

It’s official, your 8th grade year has now ended and summer vacation has started!  Attached you will find the high school’s expectactions for summer reading. Be sure to check your classes blog posts for recommended books or if you are really stuck email me. I’ll be checking in thoroughout the summer. If you didn’t trun in your Sr. Letter you may still do so in order to receive it your Sr. year. Grading though is done! Report cards will be mailed home soon , be patient.

Congratulations to Maya, Alex, Ave S, and Andrew on placing in the top 3 of the optional Kahoot The Outsiders Challenge! (H20- you were second but since I don’t know who that is… you lost your spot) Goes to show you the importance of putting your name on it!

This year presented some unique challenges but with that came experiences to learn from. Through this year one of my hopes is you learned from your experiences and will push yourself to become better than you already are. By working hard , applying yourself, and learning from mistakes you will grow.  It is truly up to you, as you hold the power. You can be a difference-maker not only in your life but in the life of others.

Take care,

Ms. Lessel
