This week we will be settling into our class routines .You will need to bring your silent reading book each day to class and are expected to be reading it at home each night. Our focus this week is on the elements of an argument. We will evaluate mentor texts and student samples to see how others effectively write an argument. By the end of the week, we will look at our initial argumentative writing piece,”Should Schools Start Later” and begin making revision to improve our writing.
Important:
Book Talks are starting this week. Make sure you have your assigned date in your planner and prepare. It counts as a summative grade.
Progress reports are being sent home Friday.
