Wow, time really does fly by! I want to encourage you to read and write over the summer. Explore what you are thinking by continuing to keep a journal and play with your thinking. Take two random words, an unusual picture, an event or experience you have and play with your writing and see where it takes you. Pick up a book and let your mind engage with the world the author is creating. Make those connections, predictions, questions, monitor, find new and interesting words and explore how authors write. You are now experts at this and it will happen natural. I bet you will be noticing figurative language in the songs you listen to. Discuss with someone what you find or feel free to email me with what you are discovering in reading and writing ( I will look periodically).
