Science-Pa-Looza

We can’t wait to see everyone on Monday Feb. 11th from 6:00-8:00 for a free, fun filled night of learning and STEM! Everyone will rotate through 10 amazing stations where they get to explore all kinds of things. We hope everyone can bring the entire family and enjoy all of the things the Michigan Science Center has to offer here at Nowlin. The attached photo discusses some of the possible activities. This will be a very busy event so be sure to show up with enough time to see all of the stations. Doors will open at 6:00 and we will see you then.

Reading Logs

Good morning
As you all know, I assign a reading log to be signed after your child reads for at least 20 minutes every night. There are a few students who are forgetting to bring their signed logs to school everyday.
Students are encouraged to put their logs into their folders as soon as it is signed so that they do not forget it. Thank you

Sciencepalooza

Good morning
Nowlin is hosting Sciencepalooza on Monday February 11 here at Nowlin from 6 – 8. This is a really fun event where students and their families will learn and experiment with science materials. I hope to see everyone there! 😀

1/2 days and no school days

Good morning –
This is a reminder that tomorrow, Friday 1/18/2019 is a half day. Students are dismissed at 11:45 am. Also, Monday 1/21/2019, is Martin Luther King Day and therefore, school is not in session on that day. The following day, Tuesday 1/22/2019, is also a half day so students will be dismissed at 11:45 am.

Reading Logs

Good morning –
If your child forgets their Reading Log at school or does not have it at home, please write on a piece of paper what he or she read, how long they read and sign it. This way, I will still see a “log” and it will still count as being complete. Thank you!
