Today, we will use a technique called Reciprocal Viewing to watch a video on the Civilization of Sumer. Throughout the last couple of weeks, we have discussed how early humans survived by hunting and gathering and migrating after their food source.
Then we introduced the Neolithic Revolution, or Agricultural Revolution, where humans shifted into farming and domesticating wild animals to survive. With this shift came other changes, which you all documented on your group posters.
Now we are examining how these changes all lead to the world’s first civilization, in what is now modern day Iraq… Sumer!
To take notes on the video, you will fold and label your paper like this…

Then I will pause throughout the video and we will fill in all four boxes, considering these points:
