Thank you for peeking out your windows and doors today as I dropped material off on your porch. It was so nice to see the children. One little guy asked, “When can we come back?” Unfortunately, we don’t have the answer to that question yet. In the meantime, I will be sending out activities through ClassDojo that you can do with your child with the materials that were brought to your home. If at anytime you have questions or concerns, please reach out to me via email, phone, or messaging through ClassDojo.

Hope all is well with everyone’s family. Keep your child working by having them write their first and last name, writing numbers, and counting items around the house. Sign in at ClassDojo for daily routines, academic skills, and enrichment activities.

I wanted to let everyone know that although I have sent out activities through ClassDojo, that I will be sharing a daily format beginning tomorrow. I hope that this format will bring routine and consistency for everyone. Do not hesitate to text or call me if you have questions. I think your children think its cool that they are talking on the phone with their teacher.

I have created a ClassDojo and sent invites to all parents. If you have not received an invite please email me so that I can check the information that was entered. Through ClassDojo I can interact with you and your child, whether it is a conversation, question, or viewing a completed activity.
Today I sent out an activity where I have asked your child to search your house for 3 circle shaped objects and 3 square shaped objects. After finding the objects, have your child trace them and you label them. Send me a picture of what they found.
If you are in the Long school neighborhood, you can stop by Long school and pick up meals for the day for all children in your household 18 years of age and younger, beginning at 10 a.m. until 12 noon.

We have worked so hard this year on so many skills- routine, independence, fine motor, alphabet, writing, reading, math, etc.- In the coming weeks it is important that you set time aside for that learning to remain and grow.
If you are interested I do have math and literacy materials that I would like to deliver to your home. I will not come into your home, but simply deliver to your front door. Email or call 313-827-6819 me and I will confirm a time for delivery.
I will be posting on my blog engaging activities for your child to complete.
I will also add links within the blog that you can access to allow for additional information.
I ask that when your child completes an activity, that you post or send it to me via my email ( kubitzv@dearbornschools.org) or blog so that I can record and recognize your child’s work.
Last week I was fortunate to have had parent/teacher conferences with some of our families. Please continue to work on what was suggested at the conference. For those that I did not get a chance to see, please have your child write his/her first and last name everyday. Make that a ticket for them to receive their breakfast or snack 🙂
Depending on how many school age children you have, sending a daily routine schedule for you to follow may be difficult. Instead I would recommend that you have your child:
Work on a specific skill- 10 min. in the morning and 10 min. in the afternoon
Engage and guide your child in online learning.
Go outside for at least 20 to 30 minutes.
Read to self, or to someone, or read to the child for 10 minutes
Eat Fruit and Vegetables
Welcome to our class
The children have worked so hard and have adjusted well to the class routine. We have created a community setting. As we move through the year your child will begin to amaze you with the knowledge they have gained. Your child already identifies the symbols for adding and subtracting and know how it applies. The children can also identify a talking bubble and a period. The
Pictures are taken in and out of class. Here is a sneak peak of what you will be viewing in the hallway or in the classroom:
