Dear Parents: Several parents have brought to my attention that Schoology is sending them reports that their child’s work is late, or past due. Please disregard this for now. Schoology automatically generates reports every week even before it has received the assignment. Don’t worry about this, and if you need to take pictures of work that has been done and send it to my phone or email, you may. Thank you!
Dear Parents: Please ONLY sign up below if your child has not done NWEA Reading yet. There are only 9 students that have not done it, so I have only 9 spots on the Sign Up Genius. For the Math NWEA, I will send out another sign up, but not until next week. Please have students bring their Dearborn Schools Chromebook if they have one.

Tomorrow there will be a Zoom meeting from 9:00-10:15, and no meetings after that, due to testing and half day. There will be no Music tomorrow due to the half day.

Dear Parents: NWEA Testing will begin tomorrow. Please have students bring their Chromebooks and earphones with them if your day is tomorrow. Please enter the building at your appointment time at the playground (basketball courts entrance). Parents may not enter, but an adult will check them in, take their temperature, etc.
Please do not sign up anymore on Sign Up Genius for this week. All the spots for this week are filled. I will send out another Sign Up Genius for next week.
There will be NO ZOOM MEETINGS TOMORROW. The next Zoom Meeting will be Thursday at 9:00. Students should be working on their Math Assignment, and Hopes and Dreams Assignment in Schoology.
Dear Parents: This is the Sign- up Genius link for you to sign up for NWEA Testing. We are only allowed to have 3 students at a time. Dear Parents: Thank you for your continued patience this week. The District and Mr. Short are looking into why there have been so many issues with Schoology and Zoom. Students should now be able to go directly to the Zoom meetings through Schoology. However, when Schoology is not working, as on Friday, I will have to notify you in an email how to get on.

1:30-3:55 Learning Labs (For Monday, will be DRA Testing)
If your child is not coming in for testing on that day, then they should complete their homework assignments, and go on Epic for reading books.
I will send another Sign Up Genius this week for you to schedule NWEA testing. I will be able to test 6 students at a time for distancing reasons.
Epic Books: Many students have already gone on Epic to read books online. Eventually, you will be able to access this through Schoology. For now, if you just type in Epic, then student login, my class code is msp4468.

HELP DESKS:
Dear Parents: Today there were many issues with logging into Zoom. If you received a message from Zoom today to confirm your child’s Dearborn Schools email, you need to accept that. Never give out meeting pass codes, but Zoom was trying to synchronize your child’s email with the district and with Zoom itself. Also, I was told that depending on your internet service, you may experience issues. Even my signal at school was weak today. Try to not have too many tabs open because that also causes issues. Some parents who were having issues logged off, shut down, then started everything back up again. Then they were able to get on. Lastly, PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE SCHOOL OFFICE IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH ZOOM. They will not be able to help you. You can text me, and I can call you, or perhaps send you a recording.

Dear Parents: I will be using my blog to communicate with you until I transition to Schoology. For next week, I have sent the link for the Zoom meetings for you, and the pass code. Please at some point this weekend, respond to my email, so that I know that you are receiving my blog. I have set it up so that you can use the same link and pass code each day next week. We will be meeting on Zoom starting Tuesday, 9/8 at 9:00 AM. I realize this has been very challenging this week for all of us. I truly appreciate your patience. The Zoom lessons will be very important because that is where I will be teaching the Math and Reading lessons.
I will also be sending you a SIGN UP GENIUS form to your email so that you may sign up for a time to bring in your child for DRA testing. This a test for us to determine their level for Reading. This will be done individually.
