Dear Parents: Many students have already taken their Animal Projects home. However, I would like to offer them a chance to bring them back if they would like. The reason some have been sent home is due to no room to display them in the classroom. Now we do have 2 tables in the hallway to place them, so anyone wishing to bring their project back to school is welcome to do so. Thank you!
Unit 7 Math Test
Dear Parents: The Unit 7 Math Test will be on Thursday, March 15th. I realize that students just recently took the Unit 6 test, however, this test is fairly simple, and I must get the test grades in before the report card deadline. I will send home the study guide today. Also, I will be contacting you through a note if I need to meet with you for Parent / Teacher Conferences. This will only be a few families, and the Conferences for my class will be held during the day, when students are at specials. If you receive a note this week, that means I would like to meet with you. Thank you!
Monday, March 5th
Dear Parents: Due to the snow day, the Math Test will be on Monday. The Animal Project is still due Monday as well. The Book Fair is Monday for our visit, and open all next week. Thank you!
Tomorrow 3/2/18
Dear Parents: A reminder that the Unit 6 Math Test will be tomorrow, Friday, March 2nd. Please review the Study Guide that was given earlier this week.
Also, a reminder that the Animal Shapes Project is due Monday, March 5th. We will also be visiting the Book Fair on Monday. Students may bring money to buy books that day, or any day that week. Thank you!
Shapes Animal Project
Dear Parents: I realize that some families will be away on vacation during next week, so I will extend the due date of the project until Monday, March 5th. Thank you, and enjoy the break!!
Valentine Party
Dear Parents: A reminder that tomorrow is our Valentine Party. Students should bring their cards to pass, and also if they signed up to bring an item to share. Thank you!
February Library Check Out
Dear Parents: During the month of February, the school library will be closed due to WIDA testing. Unfortunately, this means that students will not be able to check out books for a whole month. I am encouraging families to visit the local library so that students will be able to check out books. Also, students should be using such websites as MYON, Reading Eggs, Brainpop, and Mel.org. Thank you so much.
Valentine Party
Dear Parents: We will be having a Valentine Party on Wednesday, February 14, in the afternoon. As usual, I don’t need volunteers because students will be passing treats and watching a movie. I will send home a sign up sheet to sign up for treats, drinks, or paper products that you would like to bring. Please, as always, no nuts of any kind. I will also send home a list of student names, if students would like to pass Valentine Cards to the class. Thank you!
Next Week 1/29-2/2
Dear Parents:
Next week will be a very busy week with many activities! On Monday, January 29, we will be having our PBIS Celebration. Please refer to the note that was sent home yesterday, if you wish to help at the Carnival. The note asks you to sign up with Ms. Otto’s email if you would like to volunteer. On Tuesday, January 30 will be our Field Trip to the Ford Community Performing Arts Center to see the play Dragons Love Tacos. We will be eating tacos that day for lunch back at school. A few students have mentioned to me that they do not like tacos. These already have been paid for in the price of the ticket, but if your child truly does not want them, they should bring a lunch from home that day. Also remember that if you agreed to chaperone, you will need to drive your child separately, and meet us there, after attendance has been taken, in order to save room on the bus. Thank you!
Unit 5 Math Test
Dear Parents: The Unit 5 Math Test will be on Tuesday, January 23. Please review the study guide that was sent home in order to prepare for the test. Thank you!
