Dear Parents: We have been having many behavior issues during indoor recess lately. Because the weather has been so cold for so long, the students are running out of activities to do, and have started to have trouble getting along with each other. For this reason, I am asking for students to bring things from home to keep them occupied, such as coloring books, reading books, Legos, etc. Thank you for your support, and no technology items please.

Dear Parents: Today I will send home the graded Unit 4 Mid-Module Test. Please make sure your child shows it to you. Sometimes students forget to share the tests that they bring home.

Dear Parents: There will be no Spelling this week due to the half day Thursday, and no school Friday. Please remember to send in Valentine cards and treats with students no later than Wednesday, since we are having the party that day. We will have a short Math quiz on Thursday, but there is no Study Guide this time. Just please continue to help students with vertical method of addition/subtraction with regrouping. Thank you!
Today I am sending home a Math Sheet for Homework, as well as a Science Diagram to study about the Water Cycle. Students must eventually be able to draw this Diagram on their own when we have a quiz. Please help them to practice drawing it. Thank you!

Dear Parents: Due to the many days off this week, I did not give the Spelling Test today. I will be giving a new Spelling List on Monday.
Also, there are many notes coming home today, including the sign-up sheet for the Valentine Party. As always, please consider signing up to bring a healthy snack, drink, or paper product, but candy and sweets are fine also. The students will also be given a list of names of students in the class for the Valentine Cards. Students do not HAVE to pass cards, but if they choose to, they must give to everyone. We have 25 students in our class, and they only need to put the first name on the cards, not the last name. Thank you, and have a nice weekend!
