We will be starting the NWEA Math Test tomorrow. Please make sure that students are doing their Math Homework, going on Prepdog and Zearn, and getting a lot of sleep. These scores are extremely important to show growth from the Fall.

The Field Trip is not until next week (1/24). I will be sending a reminder in my blog next week. Remember this Friday (1/17) is a half day. Thank you!

Dear Parents: There will be a Math Quiz on Friday, Jan. 10. I have sent home another Study Guide today, and a worksheet for practice. Please help students with both. Thank you!

Dear Parents: Welcome back, and Happy New Year!

Reading Packets: Most students have already turned these in. Please turn them in by Friday, so that I may give students their prizes.

Math Book Pages: Please have students tear out and staple any Math Book Pages they worked on, and turn them in by Friday as well. Any amount of pages is fine, and thank you for all your help with these.

Please have students continue to go on I-READY and ZEARN at home, in order to prepare for NWEA. Thank you!

Students may wear pajamas on Friday for the party if they would like to.

Dear Parents: Today I am sending home instructions for home use of I-READY. Students must go in through Clever, and they have to type in their username, which is their student number@dearbornschools.org. Their birthdate is the password: mm/dd/yyyy. Please also continue to work on the packets, and Math Book pages I sent home for the vacation. Students will receive nice rewards for doing I-READY, packets, and Math pages at home. Thank you.

A reminder that the Winter Party will be on Friday, December 20. If you signed up to share an item for the party, please send it in on or before Friday.

***VERY IMPORTANT: The students will be taking the Winter NWEA test in January. It is very important that they prepare for this. Today I will be sending home Reading/Grammar packets for them to do during the vacation, and also the old Math Book Modules 1-3. We have skipped many pages in the Math Book because there were so many, and they were very repetitive. Please have students do both the Reading Packet and Math pages during the vacation. They will receive rewards for what they turn in. Please do as many pages as possible, but not all pages need to be completed. I would like especially for the Reading Packet to be worked on as much as possible. Students may turn these in after vacation to earn their rewards. Thank you so much! Enjoy the vacation!

Regarding the January Field Trip, I do not need anymore chaperones. I already have 4, which is all that I can accept this time. Please turn in the money and permission slip as soon as possible, so that we can pay for the trip.
