Hello, this is a reminder that there will be a Valentine Party tomorrow February 14, in the afternoon. If you signed up to bring something to share with the class, please remember to send it in with them, and remember that we have 26 students. Also, if students are passing Valentine cards, please remember to send those in as well. The students will be passing their treats and cards, and watching a movie. I do not need parent volunteers for this party, as the students enjoy passing their items on their own. Thank you!

Dear Parents: The Reading and Math levels on this latest report card are still from last card marking. The new NWEA that students just took will be their new Reading and Math level for next card marking. Thank you!

Dear Parents: It came to my attention that one grade on the most recent report card in the area of Reading (Reading Foundational Skills) was blank. I wrote the grade in myself because that grade must not have posted correctly for some reason. Thank you for your understanding.

Dear Parents: Two notes went home yesterday about the Valentine Party. If you would like to sign up to bring a snack, drink, or paper product to share with the class, we have 26 students. Please also consider a healthy snack, and no nuts please, due to allergies. Also, your child does not have to pass Valentine cards, only if they would like to, but if they choose to pass cards, they must give to every student. Thank you!

Dear Parents:

The Unit 5 Math Test will be on Friday, January 27. I sent the Study Guide home yesterday. Please help your child to study.

Mr. Short has just purchased a wonderful Reading program for our school called Reading Eggs. I will send the note explaining login information so that students can do this at home too. The login information is also in the front cover of the planner. Math Seeds is available only for a month for free trial. It is the same login information as Reading Eggs.  Please help students to do these websites at home. Thank you!!

Dear Parents:

There will be no Spelling this week because Friday is a half day. NWEA testing has been going well. Almost all students have gone up in their scores. Some students are not yet finished, so please have them continue to practice at home, and get lots of extra rest, and a healthy breakfast.

A reminder that the Shapes Animal Project is due on January 30. Thank you.

Dear Parents: NWEA Testing will begin tomorrow in the Computer Lab. Please make sure that the students are practicing on the practice website through Dearborn Public Schools. Go to the home page of Dearborn Public Schools, Go to resources, then students, then NWEA Rit Practice, then choose Reading or Math. Please also have students go to bed early, and eat a good breakfast, in order to be ready for the test. These scores are very important. Thank you!!

Dear Parents: Welcome back, and Happy New Year! Today I will be sending home the schedule for the Animal Presentations. You are invited to come watch your child’s presentation on their assigned day and time. If you are unable to attend, perhaps another family member could come. Thank you! Dear Parents: A reminder that the Animal Project Poster is due on Friday, Dec. 23.The students will present these when they return from vacation.
