Library Books

Dear Parents: Since the end of the school year is approaching quickly, we will only be having 4 more Fridays of Library Checkout. Many of the students have not returned their Library books, and say they lost them. Please help them to look for these at home, because if they are not returned, they will be expected to pay for them. If a book is paid for, then found late, the money will be returned. Thank you!

Week of April 24-28

Hello, Parents! On Wednesday, we will begin NWEA testing. This is the most important Test Session of the year, so I am asking that students please practice on the practice site every day. Also, please have students go to bed early each evening, and eat a healthy breakfast each morning. Thank you!

Week of April 10- 13

Dear Parents: I hope everyone enjoyed the vacation. This week we will have the Unit 8 Math test on Thursday, April 13. The study guide for that test was given out today. Also, a reminder that there is no school on Friday. I will not be giving a Spelling Test this week, but rather working on vocabulary with students. Thank you!

Field Trip

Dear Parents: There will be a half day Field Trip to the Dearborn Historical Museum on Thursday, March 30. Chaperones have already been appointed for this trip. The trip will be in the morning, and students will still be eating lunch at school. A permission slip will be sent home today, and there is a cost of $5.00. Thank you!

Math Test

Dear Parents: I have moved the date of the Unit 7 Math Test to Thursday, March 23, because of grading for the upcoming report card. We have been practicing for the test every day in school. Please also continue to help your child with the study guide at home. Thank you!

Spelling

Dear Parents: Because of the 2 days of no school last week, we will keep the same Spelling List for this week. The test will be Friday, and Tic Tac Toe will also be due Friday, unless it was already turned in. Thank you!

Kleenex

Dear Parents: With many students being ill lately, we have completely run out of Kleenex tissue. I would be very grateful if anyone would be able to bring in some extra boxes to share with the class. Thank you!

Water Bottles

Dear Parents: For quite some time now, the water bottles that students are bringing to class have become a tremendous disruption. Students are drinking excessively, even when not necessary, and having to use the restroom way too often. This, then causes them to miss instruction. Students are also constantly spilling their water onto the floor, and onto papers and school work. I am asking that all water bottles will be kept in the lockers, and when students need to take a quick drink, I will allow them to go out to do that. Thank you for your cooperation.

Allergies/Asthma

Dear Parents: There are  many students in the class that have allergies, asthma, and breathing issues. Because of this I would greatly appreciate it if all children would refrain from wearing any fragrances, sprays, or perfumes. These scents seem to be causing students with breathing problems to struggle with breathing, and to not feel well. Thank you for your understanding.
