Week of March 30- April 3

Dear Families,

I hope that everyone is doing well and that you and your families are safe and healthy. I hope that you are finding time to get outside and get some fresh air while keeping your distance from others. I hope you have had fun doing the activities with your child and it is giving you some time together. Please do not hesitate to ask me if you need help with anything or more ideas. What We are Learning This Week-

Names-
We have taken the next step and begun writing our names. Please continue to practice recognizing the letters in your child’s name and the order in which they go (Rajaa- R-a-j-a-a). Remember, only the first letter in their name is a capital, all the rest are lowercase (Rajaa).  We have added learning our last names to the list as well.  Please help your child learn their last name along with how to spell it and writing it.

Our letter journey has come to an end.  We will continue to review and practice the letters and sounds until the end of the year.

I hope that everyone enjoyed the sunny and warmer weekend! It was so nice to see the sun and spend some time outside! This year is flying by but we still have lots to accomplish and do here in our classroom.  Please continue to practice the skills we work on at school when your child comes home.  Keep building their independence to do things themselves.  They have grown so much from the beginning of the year!  Here’s what we have going on this week.

*  Please dress your child for the weather.  We are going outside when the weather permits. Our weather is now up and down so please make sure your child is prepared for the varying temperatures.

* No school on Thursday March 12th. We have Parent/ Teacher Conferences. Please make sure that you arrive on time for your conference to be respectful of those that have their conference after you. Thank you.
