Week of October 29- November 2

Hello Families!

We are off to another busy and fun week here in preschool.  We are continuing to work on our names, letters and reviewing our colors.  We are also working on being a good friend and following the rules of the classroom.  This week we will begin classroom jobs.  We will have a variety of jobs in the classroom and every child will have a job which they will hold for the entire week.  This will help children develop independence and a sense of ownership.

  • One more thing, please have your child practice putting their coat on and zipping it up by themselves.  We are working on building this independence at school so they can get ready for outside time on their own with minimal help.  Thank you again for all your help and support!

Week of October 22- 26

Hello Families!

Thank you for a wonderful parent meeting!  I know the kids had a great time reading you books and sharing in a craft with you.  I hope everyone was able to take away some ideas from our meeting that can be used at home.

Well things around here just keep getting more and more busy!  We have finished our colors and will start our letter journey this week.  We will learn 2 letters a week.  We will be sending a note home about the order in which we will be learning our letters!  I hope you are as excited about this letter journey as we are!

We are continuing to grow each day and becoming more and more independent.  We are able to solve problems simply, get materials we need during work time, and take care of ourselves (sneezing or coughing in our sleeve, getting a Kleenex, washing our hands and preparing for arrival and dismissal on our own).
