May 20- 24

Dear Families,

Where is the time going?  We have 9 school days left!  We are going to have fun and soak up these last several days together!  Please continue to practice the skills we work on at school when your child comes home. Keep building their independence to do things themselves. They have grown so much from the beginning of the year! Here’s what we have going on this week.

What We Are Learning…

Names-

We have taken the next step and begun writing our names. Please continue to practice recognizing the letters in your child’s name and the order in which they go (Rajaa- R-a-j-a-a). Remember, only the first letter in their name is a capital, all the rest are lowercase (Rajaa). We have added learning our last names to the list as well. Please help your child learn their last name along with how to spell it and writing it.

We have previously learned numbers: 0- zero, 1- one, 2- two, 3- three, 4- four, 5- five, 6- six, 7- seven, 8- eight, 9- nine, 10- ten, 11- eleven, 12- twelve, 13- thirteen, 14- fourteen, 15- fifteen, 16- sixteen, 17- seventeen, 18- eighteen, 19- nineteen, 20- twenty

* Please pay attention to the dates on the calendar since we have days off and special events in the coming weeks.  The calendar can be found on the iblog and in the Remind app.

* Thursday May 23rd is Bike Day!  Your child may bring a bike or scooter to school that they can ride.  No motorized bikes or scooters.  Please make sure they have a helmet to wear while they are riding.

* No school Monday May 27th!  Enjoy the long weekend and hopefully the weather cooperates!

May 13- 17

Dear Families,

Can you believe May is half over?  Where is the time going?  And on top of that, can someone track down the warmer, spring weather that has gone missing?  We are going to have fun and soak up these last few weeks together!  Please continue to practice the skills we work on at school when your child comes home. Keep building their independence to do things themselves. They have grown so much from the beginning of the year! Here’s what we have going on this week.  I would also like to thank each and every one of you for welcoming Mrs. Bazzi and I into your homes during home visits.  It was wonderful to spend some with you in a more relaxing and comfortable environment.  One last note for everyone, Ramadan Mubarak!  Mrs. Bazzi and I would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy and safe Ramadan!
