December 4- 8

Hello Dear Families!

I hope that everyone had a restful weekend and was able to get outside and enjoy the slightly warmer weather.  As you know the days are flying by us quickly while we attempt to accomplish many different tasks here at school.  Please continue working with your child at home on their names, letters. shapes, colors, numbers, independence and self-help skills.  The kiddos are showing tremendous growth!

What We Are Learning…

Names-

We are learning to recognize the letters in our name and the order the letters go in.  Please practice on recognizing the letters in your child’s name and the order in which they go (Rajaa- R-a-j-a-a).  If your child knows the letters in their name and the order they go in, please begin working on writing their name.  The first letter in their name is the only letter to be a capital, all the rest are lowercase (Rajaa).

Letters-

As our letter journey continues, we will learn 2 more letters this week.  Students will learn to identify the letters, the sound, recognize the letter in print and write the letter on their own.  Please make sure you are checking the blog for updates so you can help work with your child at home.  Don’t forget to practice previously learned letters.

Week of November 27- December 1

Hello Families!

I apologize that I have not posted for a couple weeks.  Due to an unexpected family emergency, I have not done my best updating our blog.  For the most part we are still working on the same skills that we have been for the last couple weeks.  Letter learning has been very successful and the students love every minute of singing the letter songs, finding letters in their names and around the room.  This week we will learn 2 more letters.

Hello Families!

Well things around here just keep getting more and more busy!  We have finished our colors and will start our letter journey this week.  We will learn 2 letters a week.  We will be sending a note home about the order in which we will be learning our letters!  I hope you are as excited about this letter journey as we are!

We are continuing to grow each day and becoming more and more independent.  We are able to solve problems simply, get materials we need during work time, and take care of ourselves (sneezing or coughing in our sleeve, getting a Kleenex, washing our hands and preparing for arrival and dismissal on our own).
