Hello Families!

We have a short week coming up this week.  There’s NO SCHOOL on Wednesday November 27 and Thursday November 28.  Enjoy the Thanksgiving Break with your family and friends!  Take time to relax, have fun with those you love and eat lots of delicious food!

What We Are Learning…

Names-

We are learning to recognize the letters in our name and the order the letters go in.  Please practice on recognizing the letters in your child’s name and the order in which they go (Rajaa- R-a-j-a-a).

Letters- 

Letter review this week!  No new letters!

The students love every minute of singing the letter songs, finding letters in their names and around the room.  This week we will review the letters we’ve learned so far.  Students will learn to identify the letters, the sound, recognize the letter in print and write the letter on their own.  Please make sure you are checking the blog for updates so you can help work with your child at home.

Reminders-

There are several important reminders for this week.

• No School on Wednesday November 27th and Thursday November 28th.

• We are working on our self- help skills and the focus right now is getting ready for outside time.  Please help your child learn how to put on their coat, hat and gloves and practicing zipping it independently.

• As the weather continues changing over from cooler days to cold days.  Please make sure your child has a heavy coat, hat, mittens/ gloves, a scarf and boots.  If your child wears boots, please make sure they bring a pair of shoes to change into at school.

We have been extremely busy at school especially with the half days, snow day and days off. This month is flying by! Please make sure you are continuing to review what we are working on with your child at home each day. Please keep in the mind the information that was shared with you during conferences. We are beginning to introduce shapes to the students. Please practice recognizing the shapes and the attributes that make a shape up. Please help your child find the shapes we are learning in the house, out on a walk, in the car or even at the store.

• 1/2 day preschool on Thursday November 7, 2019.  Children will be dismissed at 10:50.  Please be on time to pick your child up.

• Parent/ Teacher conferences will take place on Thursday November 7th in the afternoon after students are dismissed.  I will be sending home reminders for conferences on Wednesday.
