Homework for the next two weeks!

Posted on

Over the next two weeks, students will need to complete some topics on ixl.com.  This will be a great way for them to review for the common assessment that they will take on Friday, February 13.  All topics have been covered or will be covered by Tuesday, February 10.

If students need computer access, I am here after school each Tuesday and Thursday from 3-4:45.  There is a bus that students can take after school, or they can get a ride home or walk home.  Please let me know in advance if your student will be staying after school.

This is the last week of the second marking period.  Please look over your student’s grades online to check that they are all caught up on their assignments.  The last day to turn any assignments in for credit will be Friday, November 21.

This week we are starting work with exponents.  This will lead right into working with the order of operations.

There will be a quiz on exponents on Thursday.

Have a great week!

Our topic today focused on algebraic expressions and labeling parts of the expressions as terms, coefficients, variables, and terms.  The homework tonight is challenging, so please try each question.  We will answer more questions tomorrow.  This was an introduction. We will be working on this for the next week or so.

I have linked a resource to use with your NWEA results.  If you know the level your child was in the fall, you can click on this link, find practice activities and videos from Khan Academy at, below or above your child’s level.  I will go over this with the students next week.

Geometry Common Assessment!

Students have been working so hard over the past 5 weeks. Yesterday they had a chance to see just how much they have learned. We looked at the Geometry Part 1 pretest and are using it as a study guide for the first part of the Geometry Common Assessment. Please make sure to review all the topics for tomorrow’s test.
*Check your ISN. Review the pages on the Geometry topics.
* Check your SLOT book. There are many practice pages.
*Check graded and returned classwork and homework. These are great resources as well.

WELCOME TO A NEW YEAR!!

This is the first post for the 2014-2015 school year!

Today in class we worked on our graphing skills.  The picture we started today is due TOMORROW!  If it wasn’t finished in class, it is homework tonight.

We continued with area of a triangle as well.  The practice worksheet was started/continued in class today and will be due TOMORROW as well.

So that means you may have two assignments to finish for homework. Homework must be turned in ON TIME when it is due.  Please keep up with your assignments.
