We practiced working with exponents and whole numbers today. No homework tonight!
(First hour will do this tomorrow-we had an assembly today!)

We used cards, calculators and notes to practice using exponents.

Unfortunately the blog wasn’t working after school, but here area the answers for the practice assessment.

Catch up day with our ISN’s…students worked with other students to make sure their ISN’s were up to date. We also reviewed surface area and volume for the Common Assessment on Friday.
Grades should be up to date as of 11/25/2013. Students should be checking their Student Connect to make sure they have no missing assignments. The end of the marking period is 11/26/13.

Today we finished notes on surface area.  The ISN’s are looking great, and students will be able to use them on a quiz Friday.

Speaking of quizzes, this week’s warm up quiz will be on multiplying and dividing with decimals.  I will choose 10 out of the 12 warm up questions from this week. Students should have all the questions to review, with the correct answers.  Study these with your student.

Homework today….practice for the quiz on IXL, get your ISN caught up, finish any work from Monday or Tuesday that will be collected on Thursday.

Today was quiz day! We took two quizzes, one on fractions and one on graphing polygons and finding their area. These grades should be in the computer by Sunday.

All grades will be updated for this marking period by Monday, and progress reports will be sent home if your student is in danger of failing.

It was iPad day today, along with some time to get caught up on class work.

Today we continued with graphing polygons in the coordinate grid and finding areas of those polygons.

Homework tonight:Study for our #6 Fraction Friday Quiz and review the coordinate graphing/area activity for a short quiz as well.
