Valentine’s Day Fun!
2nd & 3rd Grade
Students will learn Media Center vocabulary words (ebook, print, hardcover, spine label, barcode/barcode label, OPAC,) and will discuss the advantages/disadvantages of print vs. electronic media.
Students will learn to access the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC – school library catalog) to do title and author searches.

Formatting Fun!
1st, 2nd & 3rd Grades
I can use different formatting tools such as font color, justification, spacing, and tabbing to change the way my text looks on a page.
Formatting Fun
Students need to use the font color tool to color each word appropriately (ex. red). Next, have students appropriately align the words left, right, and center. (Do not use the tab or spacebar.) Finally, have students add or delete spaces so only one space appears between each word and between each sentence.

3rd Grade
After hearing a Chris VanAllsburg story last week, I can write a friendly letter from one character in the book to another, complete with the date, salutation, body, closing, and signature.

I can listen to “The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs” and then write a letter to A. Wolf while he is in jail, asking him questions I would like the answers to.
