Reading Book Bags

Dear Parent/Guardians,

By now, all students should begin bringing home books in their bags. Books are to be read everyday to an adult, and returned to school. Students will not get a new book every day, as we may spend more than one day on a lesson/skill/ writing activity. Please take care of the books. They should not be colored in or drawn on or given to younger siblings! A $5 fee for each lost or damaged book will be applied if books are not brought back in the same condition it was sent.

Thank you!

Welcome to Kindergarten!!!

Dear Families,

Welcome to Kindergarten! This year will be filled with fun, learning, and sooooo much growth! I am so excited as we begin the year learning our routines, daily schedule, etc. By now, students are used to bringing home folders and reading bags, and returning them to school every day! Next week we will be getting new, more durable folders! These will take the place of the white folders for the year! Please take extra care of these folders. 🙂 Each folder will contain a pocket in the middle to transport any money to and from home to school.

Thank you!

Miss Kibilko

Warm Weather!

We finally have some spring and summer temperatures! We will be outdoors for recess at lunch! Please make sure to apply sunscreen to your child’s face before school so they are protected from harmful rays during outdoor time! Also, due to the wood chips on the playgrounds, students are NOT to wear any sandal or open toe shoe. This is for their safety and protection on their feet. Thank you!

Calendar Homework

Hello!

I have sent home supplemental activities to do in addition to the homework packets, reading bags, and online practice for the month of November. Each month, I will be sending another calendar that includes daily activities to reinforce the work done in school and assist with ideas for you to work with your child. Please continue these practices, as well as signing reading logs and completing homework together.

Thank you!
