Also, tomorrow is pizza, juice, and chips for snack. Bring $2 for all three items! We will have our PBIS celebration in the afternoon. Students may bring in a treat of their choice!

Reusing Project!

Dear Families,

We have been discussing Earth Day and ways we can help Mother Earth. For an upcoming project, we are asking for cans to be brought in from home. This is part of reusing, one way to save our planet! Please bring in 1 empty soup or vegetable can from home. The can should be thoroughly rinsed out and label removed, along with any residue from glue or the label. Please bring the can in by this Friday, April 26th.  THANK YOU!

BOOK FAIR/FIELD TRIP

Greetings!

Coming home in your child’s folder tonight are the book fair flyer and the permission slip for the filed trip to the zoo in April. We will be attending the book fair this Wednesday, March 20th!

Money AND permission slips are due this Friday. We will be taking the first 5 chaperones to complete the permission, bring in money, and complete the I-CHAT form required by the district to attend field trips.  We will now need a copy of driver’s license on file in the office, too. We will not be able to take parent chaperones that do not have the proper paper work in. The I-CHAT and license can be turned into the office. All other permission slips and money come to the class with your child!

Have a great day!

Valentine’s Day!

Next week we will be celebrating the Valentine’s Day by exchanging cards and treats! A letter is being sent home today to explain another at home project for our cards! We are asking the cards be addressed to my friend and signed by your child. This makes the exchange less confusing for the students. If you would like to bring a treat, wrapped candy, etc. we will have a celebration before the students leave! REMEMBER it will be a half day! 🙂

Thank you!

PARENT REPORTS

Hello Families!
Good news..we have completed the second round of NWEA! All assessments for this card marking are complete and a parent report will be sent home tonight! I highlighted your child’s math and reading score in the fall of 2018, and the present score for winter 2019! You can view the growth in the graph for both subjects. You will notice a missing graph for the district average as not ALL students in the district have taken the test as of yet. I wanted to get you your child’s results ASAP, so I printed without district’s results!

REMINDER:

Friday, January 18th is 1/2 day dismissal at 11:00

Monday, January 21st NO SCHOOL

Tuesday, January 22nd, 1/2 day dismissal at 11:00

Thank you!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Welcome 2019!!! Hope everyone had a peaceful start to the new year over break! We are doing great at school for our first day back! Everyone looks SO grown up! I’m excited to move forward this year! We are beginning this first and second week back with assessments. We must complete many reading tasks, as well as NWEA for reading and math. We will be working on these tests for the next couple of weeks. This will take the place of reading groups for now, so if you are not noticing as many books coming home this week, that is why. Thank you for everything!! Miss Kibilko
