Happy New Year to everyone! Hope you enjoyed your time with your little ones! 🙂 Wanted to update on what is going on this week and next!

We are NWEA testing for the this and next week. I will send home parent reports again once ALL students have finished testing in both math and reading. We also have assessments for report cards this week. You may not have as many books coming home in the reading bag BUT don’t forget ALL students have Freckle and read works accounts for at-home practice! 🙂

Dear Families,

• We will be having an in-class pizza for snack day this Friday, December 20^th! We are asking for donations of $2 for the pizza! We will have our final holiday/PBIS for 2019! Students may bring in a treat of their choice (does not have to be healthy) I will supply the juice!

• PTA holiday store is open! If you would like for your child to buy gifts for family, please send in money and we will go shopping!

• Wednesday, Dec. 28^th LATE START! 9:00 am arrival

• Winter Break begins 12.23.19-1.3.20. Winter break packets will be sent home along with additional online support for over break. We will take NWEA when we return so it is important to keep reading and keeping up the skills we’ve learned this year! DON’T FORGET your child is signed up on Freckle! I sent home login info earlier this year! There is ELA and Math practice!

Dear Families,

We are still collecting cans of food for donations until Monday! THANK YOU to all who have donated food or money!

Our class is participating in a turkey gram exchange for $1. The students will fill out a turkey gram stating why they are thankful for their friend (the recipient of the gram J) with an attached lollipop! Last day to for grams is also Monday!

NO SCHOOL Nov. 27-29^th for Thanksgiving Break! 🙂

TOMORROW is the last day to order Lowrey School t-shirt or sweatshirts!

PTA is in need of basked goods donated for the sale tomorrow! Please send in any donations with your child! We will be purchasing from the sale as well!

Homework: As you have noticed we changed our homework this week. Instead of packets, students are reading from bags and completing logs and activities as well as math pages. The math book will remain at home!!! The only things getting turned in is the log and activity sheet signed! 🙂

Today is the first day of parent teacher conferences~

A notice was sent home to give you a time. If you are not scheduled today, then you will be on for next Tuesday or Thursday. 🙂

We are also sending home an order form for school T-shirts and sweatshirts. Be sure to check out your child’s folder AND please clean it out daily!

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24TH! WEAR PINK AND BRING $1 TO DONATE TO CANCER RESEARCH. WE WILL TAKE A GROUP PICTURE AT THE END OF THE DAY FOR THOSE IN PINK!!

Our school is having a pumpkin raffle! Bring $1 and enter for a chance to win the pumpkin of your choice! Each vote is $1!

10.24.19 Thursday~PINK OUT Wear a pink to support cancer awareness. All those in pink will participate in a group picture in the gym!

Reading bags~ Please read every night with your child. Bags have been coming home and the children are not completing the reading at home.

Hello Families!

We have officially begun reading groups today! The students will be bringing home their bags as they have been, and reading to you at home. The bags must come to school everyday! Please take the time to read with your child and also practice letters and sounds on the linking chart!

FIELD TRIP

We are going to the apple orchard! The permission slips are being sent home today. If you would like to chaperone, please send an additional $12.00. You must have an I-CHAT form filled out!

Chaperones are limited due to the bus seating. We will take the first 5 and then allow extra if there is room!
