Week 1 of DPS School Closing

Social Studies:

I completed your iLearn Chapter 22 “The First Emperor” Test (22 points) today and it will be made available to students for the whole day on Tuesday (March 17th) and close at midnight. There are true/false, multiple choice and short answer. It is also timed at 40 minutes. The Kahoot! is an easy study guide (it will NOT be available to the public after Monday). You need to do the TCI Chapter 22 “Lesson Game” (that will help you as well).

Don’t forget to do your Foldable as well (Look at the Agenda from Thursday/March 12th for directions).

The next Chapter we will be working is Chapter 21“Three Chinese Philosophies” (look for assignments after your test this Tuesday). Log in and use your https://www.teachtci.com/

Science:

You need to finish your NEWSLEA Article #11 “What is a Testable Hypothesis?” from last week ASAP

Then do NEWSLEA Article #12 “Using Celsius & Fahrenheit” (this is due by Friday, March 20th) Don’t forget to do annotations, highlight vocabulary & not only the quiz, but the written portion (these will be worth 10 points going forward now).

Do Science IXL B. #1-5 (this is due by Friday, March 20th)

FYI Your retakes for your last iLearn test on Thermal Energy will only be open till Tuesday.

As for your Science Experiment Lab Report… I want a typed Lab Report which must include… (this is due whatever Wednesday we get back, but is subject to change)

  • A proper heading (Name, Date & Class)
  • Title
  • State Your Question or Purpose
  • Research
  • Hypothesis
  • List of Materials
  • Variables (independent, dependent & control)

Do NOT do your data (results), your conclusion or your references yet.
