Words 1-5 are the “hot” words. They will be tested on these words as well as words 11-15 (content words). In addition, there will be 5 “cold” words that will have either a long or short /i/ sound. The ones in spots 6-10 are words that the students found in their good-fit books. They should have either a short or long /i/ sound.
