Reminder

Similarity Test upon returning on Friday, April 17

Success Criteria:

  1. Prove and justify (explain) how the figures are similar
Use SSS when ALL sides are a number for BOTH triangles like
    this example

Use SAS when the angle is sandwiched between 2 sides like this
    example

AA with be the majority of the reasons for similarity and may
    look like these examples

Use Altitude Theorem when there is an altitude in a right
    triangle like this
  2. Identify what you are solving for
    Side length, angle measure
  3. What property will you use to solve
Corresponding sides are proportional, corresponding angles are
    congruent or the geometric mean
  4. Write your equation or proportion
Remember to set up the proportion with alternating pieces
    small/ big or big/ small
  5. Solve for the missing side length or angle measure
