Progress Reports

Finalized progress reports were sent yesterday to the email I have sent previous documents to. Please check in with your child about their assignments, and reach out to me with any questions.

This week’s progress report will be in the same document, and will be available to you this coming Monday.

Grading Information

As you know, students will receive grades for their work beginning last week and continuing through the end of the school year.

Those grades will fall into one of three categories:

  • Meeting
  • Progressing
  • and Limited Participation

A Note Against Plagiarism

Please make sure students are doing their own work and writing their answers in their own words. If students are finding answers in a reading or online, they need to practice putting them into their own words. I will come up with a plan to teach students about this, and I encourage you to have a conversation with your child about the seriousness of copying work that is not their own.

Leader in Me Assignment

Students will be reflecting on Habit 8: Find Your Voice and Help Others Find Theirs. Students will watch a video of someone who found their voice, and then draw that it looks like

Math

Remind students that they should be working on Zearn every day. I posted a Google Classroom assignment to remind them. There is no new assignment.

ELA

1- Recorded reading lesson and questions will be posted around 12:30. Students should watch the video and complete the assignment.

2- Read 30 minutes.

3- Finish up opinion writing assignment 3 from yesterday.

Science

Students should watch Mystery 2 of the Web of Life Unit, answering questions while they watch. The steps are on the Google Classroom assignment.
