I accidentally labeled yesterday’s post as March 13th…Oops! March was loooong but it is over! Here are the assignments for APRIL 14th.
Music, PE, Art, and Science Enrichment
Students have weekly assignments for each of their special classes. Students can find these assignments on Google Classroom under the Classwork tab.
Math
Catch up day for yesterday’s assignment, which is due this evening.
ELA
1 – Live read aloud at 12:30, or student’s can watch the YouTube video and complete the assignment.
2- Spelling assignment under the “writing” section on the classwork tab. Students will watch a video on how to use spell check and then practice using this tool.
3- Read a chapter book for 30 minutes.
4 – Continue on the writing assignments. The letter and drawing will be sent to St. Mary’s Hospital and posted in the hallways there, so it is important that students bring their focus and write from the heart. I will be sending them back for students to edit throughout the week.
5- Catch up on yesterday’s ReadWorks assignment, which is due tonight.
Science
Students have been assigned the first mystery in a new science unit called Web of Life. This lesson introduces them to food chains. Students have the option to play the card game included in the lesson with family members at home. The game is honestly very fun and would be a very meaningful way for students to enhance their learning at home! If this is not an option, students can look at the cards on the computer and use them to answer the five questions. This assignment is due Friday.

-I can also set up a phone call with you for the following day if you need support that cannot be fully addressed over Remind or email. Since I will also be focusing on my family during this time, I cannot guarantee a same-day phone call
