Homework and Communication over Spring Break
There is no work assigned over Spring Break aside from students reading for 30 minutes each day. My hope is that his can be a time of rest for students as they settled into what will be their new normal for the coming months.
I will be taking a break from work just as students are taking a break from school, so I cannot guarantee any availability until remote learning resumes on Monday, April 13th. You can expect a post from me on Sunday, April 12th to describe our learning for the upcoming week, but I will not regularly be checking email or Remind during the break. I am committed to being supportive of your student and your family, and will be focusing on coming up with a long-term plan for online learning during the break.
Moving Forward
Information about decision to close schools through the end of the school year can be found at the following link. At the bottom of the article, you can read the Michigan executive order in full: https://www.wxyz.com/news/coronavirus/gov-whitmer-orders-all-k-12-schools-to-close-for-remainder-of-academic-year
Lindbergh and Dearborn staff will be working over the coming days to determine what learning will look like for the remainder of the year. I will pass on any information I receive to you, and I appreciate you allowing our school and district time to formulate the plan.
