At this time, all of you have received an email with a list of logins, resources, and links to help forward your child’s learning. Please check the email you provided to me when I gave you my communication preference form to fill out at the beginning of the year.

Students will receive feedback on Monday’s work by the end of this evening.

Music Work for the Week

Ms. Baloga posted on the stream yesterday. Here is her assignment for each grade:

Hello Ms. Juntunen’s 4th grade students,
While we are off staying healthy and safe there are a few things that you can do to keep your skills fresh.
1. If you have not finished your recorder belts, this is a great time to practice and test through google voice to get these finished.
2. If you have finished your recorder belts, you can go onto Musicplayonline.com
Your user name is Snow and your password is 2020.
On this website scroll down and locate the Recorder Unit. There are 23 songs that you can play through to review many of the notes and musical concepts you have learned.
3. All of you may enjoy visiting this site. You will find many music games to review such skills as note reading, rhythm, dynamics, and pitch.
Enjoy this site, I look forward to hearing about your favorite activities. Mrs. Baloga

Hello Ms. Juntunen’s 5th grade students,
Below you will find a great musical activity for the week. Many of the boxes are interactive, so when your mouse hovers over the box the cursor will change to the hand, click on it and it will take you to the link.
Have fun and see if you can accomplish all of the boxes for a complete BINGO.

PE

Check out Mr. Harvey’s PE assignment for the week if you haven’t already!!

Math

4th Grade: Module 4 Lesson 10. The assignment on Google Classroom is called “Wednesday Math – Module 4 Lesson 10.”

5th Grade: Module 5 Lesson 2. The assignment on Google Classroom is called “Wednesday Math – Module 5 Lesson 2.”

ELA

1- ReadWorks. 4th Grade has one longer assignment, and 5th grade has two shorter ones due. Check the “reading” section on the “classwork” tab.

2. Read 30 minutes of a chapter book, of course!

3- Read aloud of the end of Chapter 30 of Holes. Students can participate in the live lesson at 12:30 on Zoom OR listen to the YouTube videos on the assignment on Google Classroom.

Here is the link to the live Zoom lesson: https://zoom.us/j/267730219

Please note: the Zoom lessons have been interrupted by my poor internet connection (I have three people in my house using the internet to work from home). If this issue persists, I will announce a change in the time in lessons to a time when I can trust to internet to be more reliable.

Science

Students have a short video to watch about how germs enter the body, and then will answer quiz questions about it. The assignment is under the “science” section of the “classwork” tab.

Social Studies

Perhaps I will get to it Thursday and Friday…otherwise, we will focus more on social studies next week.

Sharpen the Saw Challenge: Make a list of 10 things you are grateful for.
