Good morning! Below is a list of all the assignments due today. They are on Google Classroom under the “Classwork” tab.
Please note: getting logins to everyone will take more time than expected. I won’t be able to get student logins to most of you until Tuesday because I left my records of your contact information in my classroom and cannot access the building until Tuesday. Your student will need nothing but their Google Account to access resources until then. All of you will receive a letter with your student’s logins and a list of resources by Tuesday evening.
Math
4th Grade: Lesson 9 of module 4. The assignment on Google Classroom is titled “Monday Math – Mod. 4 Lesson 9.” Students need to take a picture of their answers on the PROBLEM SET and turn it in.
5th Grade: Lesson 1 of Module 5. The assignment on Google Classroom is titled “Monday Math – Mod. 5 Lesson 1.” Students need to take a picture of their answers on the PROBLEM SET and turn it in.

Please look over the assignment and help students complete the steps one at a time. It will take some practice for students to confidently do each step on their own.
Read Aloud
Students should tune in to the live read aloud of Holes at 12:30 pm on Zoom OR listen to chapter 28 and 29 of Holes (starting at 5:46 on the first video below, then ALL of the second video) on their own time. Students should tune into my read aloud if possible because it will include a lesson on grade level skills.
The link to the Zoom classroom will be posted on Google Classroom at 12:25 pm at the top of the main page tomorrow. Attached to the post will also be copies of the pages in case you choose to read the book aloud to your child.
ELA
Today’s readings will help students understand diseases and the germs that cause them.
4th Grade: ReadWorks assignment “Antibiotics: Use Them Wisely.” Students need to read and listen to the passage, and answer the questions to the best of their ability.
5th Grade: ReadWorks assignment “Meet the Microbes.” Students need to read and listen to the passage, and answer the questions to the best of the ability.
Students should also read a chapter book for 30 minutes.
Sharpen the Saw Challenge
Under “7 Habits” on Google Classroom, students will see there is a challenge to do 50 jumping jacks. If students do this task, they can click “Mark as Done” and I will give them extra credit on the Life Skills part of their report card!
