Week of 1/6/20

Greetings, everyone! I hope your families have had a restful break and a promising start to the new year. I am so excited to begin teaching your students again.

Believe it or not, there are only about two weeks left of the second card marking! See below for details about what we will be doing in class this week.

ELA

In reading, we will tie up our work on text structures and begin considering point of view in our texts. I will also begin doing student’s mid-year DRA tests to determine their current reading levels.

In writing, we will finish up our persuasive writing. Our goal is to have our persuasive writing pieces fully published by the end of the card marking.
