For today, please continue working on your projects. If you are done working on your project, as a number of you are, or even if you’re not, please watch the following video on “duck and cover.” Think about tornado or fire or lockdown drills that we do at school — students would be trained during the 1950s to “duck and cover” in case of a nuclear war. Jot down a couple notes to yourself while watching the video and think about the following questions: how well do you think this procedure would work? Would you feel safe doing this in the case of a nuclear war? How does this compare to the drills you guys do today?
