Hello! It’s the last few days of school before a much needed break, but we are as busy as ever.  Here’s what we are learning:

ELA: Integrating information from two sources (RI.4.9)

Math: Measuring angles with protractors (4.MD.C.6)

Science: Types of volcanoes (4-ESS1-1)

Social Studies: Economics

What are we learning this week?

Writing: Finishing our opinion essays, MSTEP prep

Reading: Using visual text features to understand a text

Math: Multiplying large numbers using a visual model (Quiz later this week)

Science: Volcanos

Social Studies: the 3 branches of government

Important Reminders

I hope everyone is enjoying this unexpected day off.

Please make sure the field trip permission slips for the Ford Rouge Factory are turned in Monday. The cost is $10.  Students MUST bring a bagged lunch that day and wear comfortable shoes.

March is Reading Month and our challenge is to read 200 books by March 31. If we accomplish this goal, we will have a pizza party.

If you have access to Clever at home, please have your child finish their opinion essays this weekend if possible.
