Class Info

Hi, I’m Jojo Greimel! I am the Lead Caregiver at the Lindbergh Kids Club. This is my first year working in a school district and I could not be any happier I get to do it with your children!

The program itself runs from 7:00AM to 9:15AM, and then 3:45PM to 6:15PM. Late Starts add an additional hour to the morning run time (10:15AM) and Half Days the after school program is running from 12:05PM to 6:15PM. If this changes I will update it here and make an announcement on the blog.

In the morning, I usually try to make a craft or activity for the kids to do to get them woken up and get their brains in a problem solving groove before they head into the school day. We have breakfast at 8:35AM and we line up to be dismissed at 8:50AM. The kids in 2nd grade and above have the option to line up with their classes outside, while the students in the younger age ranges all walk down the hallway together, with either myself or other staff members escorting them.

In the afternoon, I give the children who were not there in the morning the opportunity to do the activity from the morning. Usually though, kids just eat their snacks, and do homework until we go outside. I try to give them anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour to get some outside time and soak up the sun while it’s still here. If the weather isn’t appropriate for outside time though, we will usually be found in the gym. We don’t spend as much time there though because of the distance from the drop-off/pick-up area.

I usually try to have a general theme for the week so the kids can have something to go home with that they learned or might consider thinking about more in the future. I also am strong on practicing proper hygiene and personal coping/problem solving skills.

If there are any questions, concerns, or questions you can reach me at greimel@dearbornschools.org!

I look forward to working with all of you!
