12/19-12/23 Agenda!

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all well. I apologize for having the schedule out so late, but I’ve decided on our activities for Kids Club this week!

I’d also like to ask that you keep this a surprise for the kids please! ;D

12/19: Hot Chocolate Party!

We’re going to spend a relaxing portion of our morning and afternoon sipping hot chocolate and listening to music fit for the season! Whipped cream, sprinkles, and candy canes are available for toppings but that’s up to the drinker’s (or their parents’) discretion. Chocolate chip cookies and frosted sugar cookies are available, but limited to one each.

12/20: Gingerbread House Day!

I will have graham crackers, frosting, and candy to make mock gingerbread houses! I am going to ask Principal Tiba if we can display them in the cafeteria until the end of the week, where the kids can then take them home. I will keep you all posted!

12/21 Gift Bag!

I’d like to give everyone a reward for their hard work in school thus far, but I don’t want to give anyone anything that a parent might disapprove of or have an allergy to! The gift bags contain:

-2 Regular Hershey Kisses

-1 Pop It toy

-Chain for Pop It toy

-1 stuffed animal

-1 Party Popper

I always ask the kids to refrain from opening their gift bags during school, so that parents have the chance to go through it with them when they’re home and so nothing gets lost on the journey between school and other places.

I am also going to try to find out if there is a way for us to be able to watch a movie. I’ll pick some options and have the kids vote. I will keep you all posted about that as well! If we are not watching the movie, it will probably be a free day.

12/22 Holiday Game/Activity Tour!

I will have holiday coloring sheets, trivia, games, and whatever suggestions I am able to get from the kids for them.

I am also hoping to take kids outside to play in the snow (we always vote on it) if the weather isn’t too bad!

12/23 Free Day!

Everyone is welcome to use materials from the week to make some holiday craft, but anything is up for grabs. If there is homework the kids are supposed to be doing over break, they know that I’m there to help them with it. I don’t often plan out event heavy weeks where participation is almost always mandatory, but I think that doing things together would be good for us as a group right now.

I hope that everyone has an amazing break, and happy holidays to all who celebrate! Contact me with any concerns at greimel@dearbornschools.org!
