Ramadan Kareem!

Here is a fun activity for you. For those who are celebrating, enjoy the holiday.

I plan to do more with the jump rope on Monday. I have been enjoying the pictures please keep them coming and I will start sharing them next week.

Have a great weekend.

Updates

Right now in our Physical Education class we would be doing jump rope. That will look different from our younger students to our older students. I will again try to post a video later in the week. Please work on making or finding a jump rope. Any rope that will be long enough will work. Don’t feel you need to make a special trip to buy one or anything.

Please remember there are great lessons every day on the Elementary P.E. Blog. There is a link to it in one of my earlier posts.

As a teacher I am hoping to get some feedback to show that students are getting active and getting my communication. I am required to give a grade for your student in my class. Things are not clear on how that will happen. Right now I would like to keep it simple. Please send a picture doing something active or one of the activities I gave you. Email it to me at Borgj@dearbornschools.org.

Backyard Bingo

Mr. Khan found this great idea. You can make your own with whatever you know will be in your back yard. We never found a clover. 🍀

Just mark off the items as you find them. You can play till you make a vertical or horizontal row or just do them all.

Hot Potato

Here is one my family has been having fun with on this cold day. Hot Potato!

Take a ball and safely pass it between two or more people. Set a timer for 30 seconds. When the timer goes off you don’t want to be the one with the ball. The more room you have the farther apart you can be. Mix it up by doing bounce passes, rolling, one hand catches, sitting, standing, or even soccer if you have the room. I make the rule at the beginning that if the ball is on the way to someone then they will get the hot potato.

Hope you have as much fun with this as we are.

Stay safe!
