Many students have inquired about my pets and even have asked for me to bring them in to school. Since I can’t do that, I will share one pet of the day here on my blog. Let me introduce you to Fitzgerald, more commonly known as Fitz.

Fitz is a bearded dragon, which is a reptile. He is cold blooded which means his body temperature adapts to the temperature around him. Since he needs to stay warm, we keep him under a heat lamp when he’s in his habitat. He enjoys eating mealworms and sleeping a lot.
