Hello families,

Wow, what another productive week! Entering a new month means new ELA and Math standards:

ELA: “I can determine meaning of unknown words in a text” “I can write about a personal experience. I can identify when to use capital letters in text.”

Math: “I can group numbers in lots for multiplication and understand repeated addition.”

Number Intervention: 11

Letter/Sound of the Week: M and short vowel CVCs

Fiction text of the week: “Tadpole Teasing”

Nonfiction text of the week: “Becoming a U.S Citizen” and “States of Matter”

Sight words of the week: look, in

Science: Physical science: States of Matter

We had a great time at our field trip to LifeTown!

Announcements:

Last week, slips were sent home for the Holiday Shoppe. If your child is interested in buying anything sent the slip back by December 11th. Parents, if you are interested in volunteering email me. It it held during the school day on the stage.
