Wow! What another fabulous week of school. We have an awesome class this year of nine 4th and 5th grade students.
This week, our core standards were answering specific questions about nonfiction text and comparing numbers with greater than and less than symbols. Letter of the week is “A” and sight word of the week is “it”. We will always reiterate alphabet work, basic reading, addition and subtraction daily in our binder work.
This week for science, butterflies and life cycles were introduced. The students created a butterfly from geometric shapes. Next week, we will be comparing and sorting different species of butterflies.
Our class has been chosen to package books for first time moms by “Bib to Backpacks”. We will be packaging and counting 50 books a week!

This was also the first week the students had adaptive P.E with Mrs. B! The kids were super excited to see her. We have gym on Mondays and Fridays for every week, so please make sure your student is dressed appropriately.
Important! Message from the principal:
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Dearborn Public Schools will be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the School Year 2019-2020. All students enrolled at our school can receive a healthy breakfast and lunch and NO CHARGE.
We will still need your household to FILL OUT AND SIGN THE HOUSEHOLD INFORMATION FORM. This is CRITICAL in determining the amount of money our our school receives from State and Federal supplemental programs. All information submitted on the forms is confidential. Forms will be coming home this week.
Thank you in advance for your participation in the matter.
Have a great day.
