Wayne County Regional Enhancement Education Millage Proposal

School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”

If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools.  Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years.

Football News and Practice

Hello Parents,

Pictures will be held on November 4th. Your son will have a picture form for you to fill out if you wish to purchase pictures.

Practice this week will be Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We do not have a game this week. Practice will not be held Wednesday due to parent-teacher conferences.

Dear Parents of Mr Hesch’s A-Squared

Every student designed a learning plan to help them improve their NWEA scores and grades.

As a class, we decided the following goals:

  1. Increase their NWEA score by one grade level or higher.
  2. To earn a GPA of a 3.0 or higher.

Our action plan as a class:

  1. To go on Khan Academy at least one hour a week.
  2. To give our best effort to remain in class and come to school with our best effort.

*If a student improves all of their NWEA scores by 15 points or higher I will buy that student pizza.

The Khan Academy website is listed below. Each student has their own log-in.

Public Service Announcements

In ELA,  our class is currently working on writing and reading a claim. Example: A public service announcement.  Please talk to your child about any PSA that you may see on T.V. or in public.

Ask your child:

Who is the audience?

What is the message?

What fact(s), if any, back up the message?

Thank you,

Mr. Hesch
