All athletes need to meet on the track with their own water, running shoes, and proper running clothes. Please bring your pay-to-play fee and your sports physical if you have not turned it in already. Please e-mail if you have questions.

*Each student will have a Google Calendar with practice and meet information.

Hello Parents,

Pictures will be held on November 4th. Your son will have a picture form for you to fill out if you wish to purchase pictures.

Practice this week will be Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We do not have a game this week. Practice will not be held Wednesday due to parent-teacher conferences.

Every student designed a learning plan to help them improve their NWEA scores and grades.

As a class, we decided the following goals:

1. Increase their NWEA score by one grade level or higher.
2. To earn a GPA of a 3.0 or higher.

Our action plan as a class:

1. To go on Khan Academy at least one hour a week.
2. To give our best effort to remain in class and come to school with our best effort.

*If a student improves all of their NWEA scores by 15 points or higher I will buy that student pizza.

The Khan Academy website is listed below. Each student has their own log-in.

In ELA,  our class is currently working on writing and reading a claim. Example: A public service announcement.  Please talk to your child about any PSA that you may see on T.V. or in public.

6th Grade Math:

The class is currently working with unit rates. (Ex. Miles per hour) Please expose and talk to your child about unit rates that our viable in society that we use everyday.

Practice is mandatory. If you cannot make it to practice, please bring a note from your parent or e-mail me at heschj@dearbornschools.org.

*If your son misses one practice he will not start. If he misses two practices in a week he will not play. Effective week 2 of the season.

Practice is every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:15 to 5:15 (off the field at 5:15).

4. Our first game is 9/21/16 vs Lowrey (@ Smith with a 3:30 PM start)
