Students  are learning how to properly use hand sewing equipment and will be learning some practice hand stitches. Projects are scheduled to begin next week.

This marking period went by so quickly!  Cooking is almost complete for all classes and we will soon be moving on to the next section of the class.  I have watched students learn and have fun all at the same time.  Cant wait to see what sewing brings.

Students are doing a lot of basic life skills learning.  They have learned basic kitchen equipment as well as how to read and follow basic recipes.

Today was amazing during 8th grade Skills for Living classes.  I am so proud of the hard work   And effort these students portrayed .  All groups completed a cake based on March is Reading Month. Thank you to staff and parents who supported this project.

Chef Will Coleman a senior from Dearborn High comes for a demonstration!  So glad he was willing to share his talents, accomplishments and life lessons with some of my students here at Bryant.

I’m so excited for the fun to begin 2nd semester.  I am getting to know all my students and my students are learning about the class they are in.  Safety, equipment , expectations and learning how to work in a group are all currently the content across all Life Skills classes.
