Welcome, Lindbergh Flyers!
Hello,
Greetings on behalf of the Physical Education program at Lindbergh Elementary School. I am delighted to have your child in class this year. As you may already know, the Physical Education classes will be held twice a week for 45 minutes each. We will focus this year on building healthy habits and skills that your child can use for a lifetime. Our first few weeks of classes will consist of reviewing the rules, policies and procedures/procudures along with stretches and fun games along the way to keep our kids moving.
For your child’s safety, I strongly recommend that your child wear’s tennis shoes or soft-soled shoes throughout our time together in P.E. These shoes should cover the toes and give adequate support to the foot and ankle. Dress shoes, cowboy boots, sandals, flip flops, clogs, Crocs, or tie up shoes that are left unlaced do not supply proper support to your child’s feet and ankles. This increases the risk of injury as there is a lot of movement involved in Physical Education class.
